THERE ARE SOME foods that bring Irish people unbridled joy.
A Tayto sandwich. Rashers. A spice bag devoured in the throes of a hangover.
One of the most beloved foods in Ireland, however, is the humble Superquinn sausage.
*bows down*
WE ARE NOT WORTHY, WE ARE NOT WORTHY.
They’re universally regarded as the best sausages
Even One Direction’s Liam loves them
<3
Irish people are utterly besotted with them.
So much so that SuperValu has estimated that they sell 30 tonnes of them every week
30 tonnes of sossies. Mad, Ted.
There’s nothing quite like waking u[ on a Saturday morning to the whiff of Superquinn sausages wafting through the air
Especially when you have a hangover
Get some Superquinn sausages and a mug of tae into you.
How much do we love Superquinn sausages?
So much so that there were scenes of devastation when Superquinn closed and it seemed as though we might have to do without our beloved Superquinn sausages.
And Superquinn had to reassure us that we could still get the sausages.
Superquinn: Don’t worry pet, the sausages aren’t going anywhere.
Ireland: *wipes away tears* Thank you.
And now we can get Superquinn sausages… in Centra
Only in Ireland.
Which is just as well because we’re pretty sure the nation would shut down without Superquinn sausages
Our barbecues would languish
And our fries wouldn’t be the same!
Dear Rest of the World,
You don’t know what you’re missing.
Love, Ireland
